Lisbon-based trumpeter Luis Vicente is brilliant improviser at the heart of a lively Portuguese scene. He has frequently collaborated with British improvisers and his trio with Olie Brice and Mark Sanders is a shining example of European musical interplay. They recently joined forces again at the Coimbra Jazz Festival, with a host of top British and Portuguese improvisers.

Joining the Vicente-Brice-Sanders trio is the towering talent of saxophonist Paul Dunmall. This will be the second time that Dunmall joins the trio at MAC, and a reunion for this fiery quartet is a wonderful way to kick off our new season.
