Continuing the Paul Dunmall Invites series into the new season, we are thrilled to have saxophonist Rachel Musson, bassist Neil Charles, and drummer Mark Sanders joining Paul in the Eastside Jazz Club.

Musson has been described as “a free-improviser sensitive to melody-like narrative and dramatic pacing" (John Fordham, The Guardian), which is clear to hear on her fantastic record I Went This Way, released on Brooklyn-based label 577 Records. Both Musson and Sanders are recent recipients of the Paul Hamlyn Award for Artists; rightfully recognising the talents of these two improvisers.

Sanders was last seen at the Eastside Jazz Club performing in Dark Days, a project led by Charles which featured compositions celebrating the poetry of James Baldwin. The event was one of the highlights of last season and we are very excited to see Charles returning to the club in such good company.
